This is the NEW BENCHMADE APPARITION ASSISTED OPENING KNIFE. Benchmades entry into the ever popular ASSISTED OPENING KNIFE catagory. The APPARITION is opperated by placing your thumb under the thumbstud as with any thumb opening knife. The difference is that after the blade opens an 1/8 inch or so the spring assist takes over to open the knife crisply the rest of the way.
